What’s in a name?
NCS are moving towards providing composite products a unique and memorable name that unifies them as a range which resonates with our customers, and encapsulates many of our company values. A name that represents our commitment to adaptability, innovation from product development to customer service and being progressive in every aspect of business to our customers.
And so, DEXA™ came to be… The name “DEXA™” is derived from ‘dexterity’ and speaks to the agility, skill and innovation that define NCS. DEXA™ embodies our ability to swiftly respond to emerging trends, technological advancements, and customer needs, ensuring that NCS remains a market leader and at the forefront of innovation in composites.
New name for NCS composite products
The original products and their number codes remain the same, but they will now fall under the new DEXA™ category names:
DEXA™RES
Extensive range of Ortho and DCPD Unsaturated Polyester resins suitable for General-Purpose applications and Iso, Iso/NPG and rPET based resins for High-Performance and demanding applications. Characterised by their excellent mechanical, thermal, weathering and osmosis resistance for Specialised Applications such as Sanitaryware, Tooling, Fire-retardant, Sheeting, Buttons, Body-filler, Moulding Compounds, Mine-bolts, and more. Includes Lloyds approved resins.
DEXA™GUARD
Versatile range of Vinyl Ester based resins. These are based on vinyl ester resin chemistry demonstrating improved strength and chemical/corrosion resistance as are required in industrial applications.
DEXA™COAT
Extensive range of Unsaturated Polyester Iso based Gelcoats and Ortho/Iso Flowcoats (waxed gelcoat for finishing off composite laminates) suitable for General-Purpose applications and Iso/NPG based Gelcoats and Poolcoats for High-Performance and demanding applications. Characterised by their excellent mechanical, thermal, weathering and osmosis resistance for Specialised Applications such as Tooling, Sanding, Fire-Retardant, Styrene resistant, Thermal Shock and Stain resistant Sanitaryware/Cast polymer gelcoats as well as Osmosis resistant and Blush resistant Swimming Pool Topcoats and Gelcoats.
DEXA™TONE
Extensive range of Pigment Pastes. Used to pigment Resins, Gelcoats, Topcoats and Flowcoats. Characterised by good opacity and compatibility.
DEXA™BOND
Versatile range of Unsaturated Polyester and Vinyl Ester based Bonding Paste Adhesives. Filled and un-filled Unsaturated Polyester based Bonding, Fairing and Patching pastes.
DEXA™LOK
Urethane Acrylate based Structural Adhesive. Characterised by their strong adhesion to a wide range of materials. Its chemical composition includes urethane linkages, providing flexibility and resilience to bonded joints.
DEXA™CURE
Range of miscellaneous Metal and Amine Accelerators, Inhibitors and Cure Promoters. Enables the adjustment of the geltime and cure rate.
DEXA™PLUS
Range of miscellaneous Additives. Includes Wax Solutions,Optical Brighteners, Viscosity and Rheology Modifiers, and more.
DEXA™LEASE
Range of liquid and paste based Mould Release products including PVA and Waxes.
